Rev. Virginia M. Heimer (Pastor Ginny) grew up in Nazareth, PA and is the youngest of seven children. She was raised in the Catholic Church. She worked in healthcare for fifteen years prior to being called to ministry. She graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary in May of 2013 and was ordained at Zions' Stone UCC in Kreidersville in August of 2013.
In her previous ministry positions she served as a Chaplain resident at St. Luke’s Hospital, Pastoral Care Coordinator at Westminster Village, a senior living facility in Allentown, Pastor at St. John’s UCC in Palmerton and Chaplain at Luther Crest Senior Living Community in Allentown.
She is a Spiritual Director and enjoys planning, leading and embarking on spiritual retreats and pilgrimages. She loves to journal, to read and to add new books to her personal library.
Pastor Ginny was called to St. Peter's in April of 2019 and was installed on Sunday, August
She lives in Walnutport with her husband and best friend Paul. They have been married for 32 years. They have two beautiful adult daughters, Rachel and Tara, four grandchildren and two cats. They enjoy going for long walks together, kayaking and motorcycle riding.
